Before & After

This is more than your just your usual “Before & After Weight Loss Page.” This is kind of a story of my life told though pictures for the  last five years,

BEFORE GASTRIC BYPASS

There aren’t too many “Before” pictures because I avoided the camera like the plague since I hated my body. This is not to say that there is anything wrong with anyone else being fat, I just grew up hating my body because of many things that made me feel wrong inside of it.

AFTER GASTRIC BYPASS (PRE-PREGNANCY)

OK, this is where the numbers get tricky because I was a bad patient and did not weigh myself every week, so the weight is estimated. But you can get the gist of my progress. Also, I was doing much better pre-pregancy and pre-anemia when I could lose weight easier and faster. But, hey! Haven’t lost hope  yet!

Before finding out I was preggo, doing the 5 pouch reset.

Me, at my skinniest, 170 lbs with good tone and muscle. Weight Lifting was a life changer!

AFTER GASTRIC BYPASS (PREGNANCY)

41 Lbs gained total, and it was not easy. At first my OBGYN worried I wouldn’t gain enough but then I got pre-eclampsia on my third trimester and had to be on bedrest and that took care of that.

       AFTER GASTRIC BYPASS (POST-PREGNANCY)

And this is me post-baby. I went through post-partum depression, a fitness kick and my body basically tells a story. I was able to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight but I’ll never look the same. And that’s ok. These are my battle scars. I’ve battled all kinds of crazy health and personal issues that I am now starting to feel ready to talk about and my body tells my story.  I’ll embrace it and take care of it and appreciate it for all the amazing things it does for me everyday.

One of the first things I did post-baby was dye my hair purple. Rebellion!
